Editorial guidelines
These guidelines cover the written content on this site: app descriptions, feature lists, frequently asked questions, blog posts, and the translations of all of it. This site does not publish news coverage of other companies, reviews of other companies' products, or sponsored articles, since blog posts here are about our own apps and the decisions behind them.
Who writes this content
Everything here is written and maintained by the person who builds the apps. There is no separate editorial team, and no content is contributed by advertisers or other third parties.
Accuracy
App descriptions describe what an app does today, not what it is planned to do. Apps that have not shipped are labelled as coming soon and are never presented as available.
Details that change, like price, platforms, store availability, live in a single catalog that every page is generated from, so a correction is made in one place and takes effect everywhere it appears.
What is not published here
No testimonials, ratings, review counts, awards or endorsements appear unless they are real and can be substantiated. Where there are none, none are shown rather than inventing them.
No paid placement. The only apps listed are our own, and no one can pay to appear in the library or to be described more favourably.
Translations
English is the source language. Other languages are translated to carry the same meaning rather than word for word, and product names are left untranslated.
If a translation is missing for any piece of text, the English original is shown in its place rather than an empty space.
